135. My 24 Hour Walk Misogi

On this special episode of the Kingdom Legacy Podcast, I’m recapping one of the hardest things I’ve ever attempted: a 24-hour Misogi walk. Starting at 2AM on a freezing Saturday morning, I set out with the goal of walking nonstop until 2AM the following night — testing not only my body, but my mindset, perseverance, and faith.

In this episode, I share the honest motivations behind taking on this challenge, the preparation that went into it, and the raw reality of the experience itself — from frozen feet, exhaustion, hallucinations, and mental battles… to unexpected encouragement, meaningful conversations, and moments where God’s strength carried me beyond my own limits.

I also reflect on what these endurance challenges are teaching me about resilience, identity, community, fatherhood, and legacy. My goal was never just to complete a hard challenge — it was to become the kind of man who willingly embraces difficulty, perseveres through adversity, and inspires others to do the same.

Whether you’re chasing a big goal, walking through hardship, or looking for motivation to push beyond comfort, I think this episode will encourage you to choose growth over ease and trust God in the process.

Topics include:

  • What a “Misogi” challenge is and why I pursue them

  • The connection between physical endurance and spiritual growth

  • The importance of grit, perseverance, and community

  • Lessons learned from walking 40+ miles on almost no sleep

  • Why success and failure aren’t always what we think they are

  • Preparing for my next challenge: Cactus to Clouds in California
